Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how The Stack Matrix (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you visit thestackmatrix.com or use our calculators, kits, accounts, and Business OS workspace.
Information we collect
The information we handle depends on how you use the site. It may include:
- Account information: your email address, account identifier, authentication and session information, and account or product-access status.
- Planning information: values and other information you enter into calculators, kits, saved scenarios, Business OS profiles, goals, reviews, or other workspace features. This could include business or financial information you choose to provide.
- Purchase records: purchase, refund, and subscription references and status information used to confirm access to products. Payments are handled through Lemon Squeezy or Gumroad, depending on the checkout you choose; we do not receive or store your full payment-card number through the application. If you link a Gumroad purchase using a license key, we use that key to verify the purchase with Gumroad, but do not store it in our purchase records or application logs.
- Communications: information you include if you email us or otherwise contact us.
- Technical information: information necessary to deliver and protect the site, such as request, device, browser, and diagnostic information that may be processed by hosting, authentication, or security infrastructure.
Information you enter into calculators
Many calculator inputs are processed in your browser and are not saved to an account unless you choose a feature that sends or saves them. If you save a scenario or use a signed-in workspace, the information needed to restore that work is stored with your account. Avoid entering information you do not want stored in your workspace.
Optional calculator reports and shared links
The Quick Tools browser extension and website calculator page let you explicitly copy a report or revisit link after acknowledging a privacy warning. Reports include your calculator inputs, estimated results, formulas, and assumptions. Revisit links encode inputs in the URL fragment after the # character, rather than in an HTTP query sent to the website. The receiving page reads and validates those inputs locally to recalculate the result. This does not create a saved scenario or grant access to a paid workspace.
Anyone receiving a report or link can read, copy, and forward its inputs. Your clipboard, browser history, and applications or recipients you choose to share with may retain that information. Do not share confidential information. The extension does not read your clipboard or automatically publish, send, track, or store your inputs; following a website link is subject to this website's privacy practices.
How we use information
- Provide calculators, accounts, saved work, workspace features, and product access.
- Process checkout and confirm purchases, refunds, or subscription status.
- Respond to questions and provide account or service-related communications.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, protect, and improve the service and prevent misuse.
- Meet legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
Calculations and outputs are planning estimates based on the information entered; they are not guarantees or independently verified business results.
Cookies and similar technologies
Authentication uses session technologies, including cookies, to keep you signed in and protect account features. These technologies are needed for the service to work. We do not currently embed advertising trackers or visitor-behavior analytics in the application. Our service providers may process technical logs needed to operate and secure their services. If you block or clear session cookies, sign-in and saved workspace features may not work as expected.
How information is shared
We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to provide the service, protect it, or meet legal obligations, including with:
- Supabase: authentication, database, and private file-storage services for accounts and saved workspace data. See the Supabase Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).
- Lemon Squeezy: checkout and payment processing. We may provide your account email and an account identifier to connect a confirmed purchase to your account. See the Lemon Squeezy Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).
- Gumroad: storefront, checkout, payment and license delivery for Gumroad purchases. We receive purchase or subscription references and status information, and verify sales, licenses, refunds, disputes and subscription status with Gumroad to manage website access. For website-started online-kit checkout, we send a random account-link reference in the checkout URL and prefilled checkout field. That reference contains no website account ID, email address or password. We store its hash with your account and the selected kit to connect a verified purchase to your account. For manual kit or Business OS membership linking, we send the license key you submit to Gumroad for verification. Gumroad handles information you provide directly during checkout under its own policy. See the Gumroad Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).
- Hosting and infrastructure providers: services that deliver, monitor, and protect the site and may process technical request information.
- Legal or safety recipients: public authorities or other parties when disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or the service.
We do not control third-party websites or services. Their own privacy policies govern information you provide directly to them, including when you leave our site to complete checkout.
Retention and your choices
We keep account and saved-work information while it is needed to provide your account and workspace, and retain purchase or security records as needed for legitimate business, accounting, legal, and dispute resolution purposes. Some copies may remain temporarily in protected backups.
You can manage or remove saved scenarios using available workspace controls. To request access, correction, or deletion of account information, email stackmatrix4@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will handle requests subject to applicable law and may retain information where a legal or operational exception applies.
See our Data Deletion page for instructions on deleting saved work or requesting account-data deletion.
Depending on your location, applicable privacy laws may give you additional rights, such as requesting a copy of your information, correcting or deleting it, or objecting to or restricting certain processing. Contact us at the address above to make a request.
Security and international processing
We use access controls and service-provider safeguards intended to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Our providers may process information in countries other than where you live, subject to their systems and applicable legal requirements.
Children’s privacy
The service is intended for business owners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us at the email above.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service or applicable requirements change. We will post the updated policy here and revise the effective date. For questions or privacy requests, contact The Stack Matrix at stackmatrix4@gmail.com.
